What sources close to Harry Kane are now saying about his future after disappointing Bayern Munich season

Tottenham Hotspur’s record goalscorer Harry Kane has now seen his efforts to win silverware with Bayern Munich fall short this season.

The England captain’s sale was sanctioned by Daniel Levy last summer as his time at his boyhood club, Tottenham, finally came to an end.

His departure from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was expected to bring him trophies instantly as he joined the 11-times-running Bundesliga champions.

However, it has been the opposite of that with Bayern’s final hopes of getting their hands on a trophy this season ending on Wednesday night.

With Harry Kane‘s search for silverware now rolling into next season, sources close to the player have now provided an insight on where his future may lie.

After all, the 30-year-old still remains just 47 goals off Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record.

Sources close to Harry Kane shares what lies ahead of the striker now

Losing a player of Kane’s calibre was always going to damage Tottenham going into the new campaign.

And how Ange Postecoglou will be thinking what Spurs could have done this season if they still had the 30-year-old in north London.

Kane has continued to find the back of the net despite what has been a seriously underwhelming campaign for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The striker’s disappointment on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu was visible for all to see with the cameras catching his emotions from the bench.

Speaking to the Daily Mail on the back of the Real Madrid heartbreak, a source close to the striker claimed Kane will already move on to the next challenge.

‘What’s the next challenge? That’s what he’ll be telling himself,’ one source said.

As he closes in on the age of 31, the striker has shown no signs of slowing down as he’s now enjoyed his best season in front of goal.

‘He will have a career like Zlatan [Ibrahimovic],’ someone close to Kane explained.

‘He will play until he’s 40, travel Europe and win trophies.’

Harry Kane admits he has found something difficult about leaving Tottenham

The Spurs legend left in the summer and made the move to a different club for the very first time in his professional career.

Looking from the outside, it looks like Kane’s transition to Bavaria has been a walk in the park given how he has performed on the pitch.

However, the striker has recently admitted in an interview before Bayern’s Champions League defeat to Madrid that he’s endured some tricky times since leaving Spurs.

“It was tough to begin with. Obviously I didn’t really know what to expect. I’d been at Tottenham for so long and obviously just coming to a new club and new training ground everything was strange to begin with,” Kane said.

“And, of course, not having my family there was the hardest part being in the hotel. But you know, when I look back now, I’m proud of the way I coped with it to still be able to perform on the pitch and do what you know I came here to do was obviously really pleasing.”
