Situation in border area of Kharkiv region

In early May, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that the Russian occupiers had intensified attacks in certain areas in the Kupiansk direction. However, they did not have enough force to open a new front line.

On May 10, the head of the KRMA clarified that Russian shelling from multiple rocket launchers, MLRS, and artillery continued all night in the border area. Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, bore the brunt of the attack. Russia also tried to break through the border with the help of subversive reconnaissance groups.

Later, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine clarified that Russian troops used armored vehicles to break through the border in the Kharkiv region. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the Russian offensive in the Kharkiv region, but the fighting is still ongoing. In particular, according to the Deep State map, a gray zone has formed on the border in the Kharkiv region near the village of Pletenivka.
