Selena Gomez appeared to break her silence on social media hours after Hailey and Justin Bieber confirmed they have a baby on the way.
The 31-year-old dated Justin Bieber, 30, on and off for eight years before they called it quits on their relationship for good in 2018. Shortly after, Justin rekindled his relationship with Hailey Bieber and the pair have never looked back, tying the knot in that year. Now, the duo, five years later, are pregnant with their first child. Selena Gomez didn’t seem fazed by Justin Bieber’s baby news, as she instead posted a snap of her being loved up with her beau Benny Blanco.

Although the celebrity didn’t directly acknowledge the happy couple’s joyous news, she did share a photo with her current boyfriend to her Instagram Story.
The singer has been dating the music producer – who collaborated with her ex – for several months, as their one-year anniversary approaches.
Selena shared a photo of her and Benny holding hands, snuggled up underneath a blanket for a cozy night in. The celebrity couple seem deeply in love, as Benny enjoys cooking her meals and completing romantic errands for his bae.
But the TV star uploaded the snap only two hours after Hailey told the world she was expecting, with Justin doing the same.
For years, hardcore fans, (Selenators) pitted the two stars against one another as they dated the same man at different periods.
Selena and Justin’s romance began back in 2011, and they were on and off until 2014 before they reunited for a short spell three years later. But they decided it wouldn’t work out in 2018, when Justin rekindled his love with Hailey – who he seemed to date during their ‘off’ periods.
Sources believe Hailey is more than six months pregnant at the time of her announcement, as the Biebers renewed their wedding vows.
Hailey and Selena ‘feud’
The pair have never condoned the cruel comments from trolls on social media from the other celeb’s fan base.
In October 2022, they tried to quash rumors they were at logger-heads when they posed for photos together at an event in LA.
But by February the next year, she shared a TikTok clip posing with her pals Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye, lip-syncing to the words ‘I’m not saying she deserves it, but God’s timing is always right’.
Fans were convinced she was throwing shade at Selena because of recent unflattering paparazzi photos were doing the rounds in the media. But Hailey swiftly deleted the video and commented it had nothing to do with Justin’s ex.
Selena herself has called the baseless speculation ‘silly’ and ‘unnecessary’.
Many celebrities have wished Hailey and Justin Bieber congratulations over their baby news, but Selena Gomez hasn’t appeared to do so publicly.
