Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew confirms his participation in Global Peace Summit

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has confirmed his participation in the Global Peace Summit scheduled to take place in Switzerland in June, announces President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I greeted His Holiness on Easter, thanked him for the prayers for Ukraine, and warm wishes for the Ukrainian people. Patriarch Bartholomew confirmed his participation in the Global Peace Summit, which is extremely symbolic for us. We appreciate the important contribution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to restoring just peace in our state," Zelenskyy wrote.

During the Easter Mass, Patriarch Bartholomew called for an exchange between Ukraine and Russia based on the principle of all for all.

Global Peace Summit

In June, the first Global Peace Summit will take place in Switzerland, with representatives from over 100 countries invited to attend.

As President Zelenskyy explained, the summit plans to address a range of key issues related to the war in Ukraine.
