Currently, Russia has neither the intention nor the capability to attack any NATO country, according to NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană.

According to him, currently, Russia has neither the intention nor the capability to attack any NATO country, but a total hybrid war against the Alliance is being waged.

"We see cyber attacks, disinformation, hybrid warfare, sabotage, acts of violence, and killings. There is a combination of crises, technological and social transformations of unprecedented complexity. So, I can say one thing: thank God we are in NATO," Geoană noted.

He also added that NATO is currently undergoing adaptation and transformation processes like never before in the past decades, including in defense plans and by increasing military production.

NATO is preparing for a conflict with Russia

In January, the Bild published a scenario for military exercises in Germany, in which soldiers practiced actions in the event of a hybrid attack by Russia on the eastern flank of NATO.

At the same time, NATO stated that this scenario is only an imaginary situation used to test military capabilities in the region.

Furthermore, NATO believes it is unlikely that Russia will invade NATO member states in the near future.
