The Denver Broncos reportedly signed first-round pick Bo Nix, inking the former Oregon quarterback to a four-year contract. He’ll receive a $18.61M deal, according to Adam Schefter. Bo becomes the first QB from the first-round 2024 NFL Draft class to sign.

Nix was selected with the 12th pick in the first of the NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He’ll now be looking to prove his supporters right and his doubters wrong as he moves to the NFL after a phenomenal collegiate career.

Over the course of his time in college football, Nix passed for 15,352 yards and 113 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,613 yards and 38 touchdowns as well, over three seasons with Auburn and two with Oregon. He was a Heisman finalist with the Ducks in 2023.

Nix played high school football at the Scottsboro School (AL), where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 36 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Bo Nix gets high praise from Bill Belichick

Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick covered the draft forThe Pat McAfee Show and gave his thoughts on Nix after he was drafted.

“He’s off all the quarterbacks the highest-rated from the pocket,” Belichick said. “I think he’s got a good, arm, but [Oregon’s] system is more possession passing. He has almost a 75 percent completion percentage because a lot of throws are closer to the line of scrimmage.

“He protects the ball well,” Belichick continued. This is another guy that’s played a lot of football. From Auburn to Oregon, he’s had a full career up there. He’s experienced and he’s probably pretty close to being game-ready.”
