Police officers came under fire in the frontline town of Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. This occurred during the evacuation of the wounded, reports the National Police.

It is noted that the White Angels came under targeted attack by the Russians in Krasnohorivka. Enemy shells targeted within 100 meters of the car where law enforcement officers were assisting local residents at that moment.

The police managed to swiftly evacuate the wounded from under enemy fire.

"The crew of the White Angel police, risking their lives, continues to evacuate peaceful civilians from the burning Krasnohorivka. With each passing day, more and more people seek salvation," the statement reads.

Battles for Krasnohorivka

It is worth noting that the Russians have been assaulting the town of Krasnohorivka for nearly two months now, which is located on the way to Kurakhove. The town is under the control of Ukrainian forces.

As known, Russians managed to enter the southern part of Krasnohorivka, where battles are taking place on the territory of a local plant. According to representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russians are blocked and cut off from the supply of ammunition.
