Pundit says one Premier League star should join Manchester City this summer instead of Manchester United.
The two Manchester clubs have shown in previous years that they aren’t shy when it comes to approaching fellow Premier League sides to sign their players.
From City’s point of view, they’ve signed names such as Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes and Jack Grealish from other top-flight sides.
With United, they’ve secured deals for the likes of Mason Mount, Christian Eriksen and Harry Maguire in recent years.
Looking ahead to this latest upcoming summer transfer window, one pundit has shared his thoughts on a current Premier League star who has found himself being mentioned with a move to Manchester.
Pundit says Michael Olise should join Man City over Man United
Speaking on The Friday Football Social on BBC Radio 5 Live, Hutchison had this to say about Michael Olise and the possibility of him moving to one of the Manchester clubs this summer.
He said: “I think if you are giving Michael Olise any advice whatsoever, choose your manager, not the club.
“Robbo [Paul Robinson] mentioned Man United, I think that would be the worst move for him. I think he would get lost at Man United, a team with poor players and he might end up playing poorly.
“Whereas if you go somewhere for the manager, i.e. someone like Pep, he is going to make you better, he is going to put you in the right scenario, he is going to put you in the right position, he is going to improve you as a player, and then you will see him kick on because you can see the talent.
“He is so graceful. He is a fantastic young player to watch.”
City would be a better option for Olise than United
As mentioned earlier, the Crystal Palace winger, who is valued at £60m by the South London club, has found himself being mentioned having attracted interest from City and United.
Bearing in mind how the Blues are on the hunt to win a fourth Premier League title in a row and their Red Devil rivals are currently 13 points behind the top four, it’s safe to say that City would be a better option for Olise if he wants to play in the Champions League.
In terms of the managers, Pep Guardiola has a reputation when it comes to improving the players he coaches.
On the flip side, there has been heavy speculation over recent weeks about Erik ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford.
With all of that taken on board, we agree with Hutchison that the Etihad Stadium would be a better move for the Frenchman to make this summer so he can grow his game under the guidance of Guardiola.
