"He is such a rocket whenever launched, it falls": MP CM Mohan Yadav takes indirect swipe at Rahul Gandhi

Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 11 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday took an indirect swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying, "He is such a rocket; whenever launched, it falls on the ground."

CM Yadav was addressing the public during a roadshow in Ratlam in support of BJP candidate from Ratlam parliamentary seat, Anita Chauhan, the wife of MP forest minister, Nagar Singh Chauhan.

"A Bhai Sahab (referring to Rahul Gandhi) is such a rocket that whenever launched, it falls and does not go up. We saw it in 2014 and the 2019 general elections. But what to do, mother's (Sonia Gandhi) love is such that her soul does not agree. They want to capture the power of the country from behind," CM Yadav said.

CM Yadav also took a dig at Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal who was released from jail on Friday after the Supreme Court granted him interim bail, saying that if it had been any other person, he would not have decided to come out of jail.

"A Bhai Sahab came out of jail after getting interim bail, and as soon as he came, he was saying that he would free this country from dictatorship. 'Are doob maro bhai, Aap jamaanat par aaye ho' (You should be ashamed of yourself, You have come on bail), and the conditions imposed in the bail, if it had been any other person, he would not have decided to come out of the jail," Yadav said.

Furthermore, the chief minister also took a dig at Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar over his remark on Pakistan, saying that the BJP, the people of the country, and the state would not tolerate such traitors.

"What kind of talk do Congress people speak about? They are contesting elections in India and praising Pakistan. BJP and the people of the country and the state will not tolerate such traitors. Today it is the need of the hour," he said.

Soldiers on the border, farmers in the fields, and every businessman managing their shop are serving the country and the state in different ways. This election is the election of India's future. This election is an election of Prime Minister Modi's resolve to create the world's third-largest economy, he added.

CM Yadav further said, "We all are seeing that the condition of the Congress has become such that its candidate (referring to Congress nominee from Indore Akshay Kanti Bam) is abandoning the election field, and the Congressmen are not able to understand what to do."

Notably, Akshay Kanti Bam, who was the Congress nominee from the Indore parliamentary seat, withdrew his nomination paper and switched sides to the BJP on April 29.

Apart from this, former Congress MLA Manoj Chawla and senior Congress leader Pramod Gugaliya joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday in the presence of CM Mohan Yadav in Ratlam during his visit.

The Ratlam constituency will go to polls in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 13. BJP candidate Anita Chauhan is contesting against Congress' Kantilal Bhuria from the seat.

Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh are underway in four phases. The first phase of voting ended on April 19, followed by the second phase on April 26 and the third phase on May 7.

The final phase for the state is scheduled for May 13, which includes eight constituencies: Dhar, Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Indore, Khargone, and Khandwa.

The counting of votes will be held on June 4. (ANI)
