4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI vs Arsenal, Eriksen dropped among three changes

It’s the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season and Manchester United are taking on Arsenal, here’s our predicted lineup.

After losing 4-0 to Crystal Palace on Monday, the last team Erik ten Hag would’ve wanted to have to face was the Premier League‘s top scorers.

Manchester United will have to bounce back and put in a better display against a side who are pushing for the title and need to win here.

Things aren’t being made easier by the ever-growing injury list at Carrington which has seen Mason Mount return to the absentees list this week.

So with this in mind, how will Ten Hag line his team up to face the Gunners?

How will Manchester United line up vs Arsenal?

So with the injury blows still preventing Ten Hag from lining up as he’d want to, we can once again expect a weakened team to face Arsenal.

One position which won’t be compromised on though is goalkeeper, with Andre Onana guaranteed to start, although questions are being raised over his ability after the goals he conceded to Palace.

The full-backs will be Diogo Dalot on the right, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka stays on the right, as he’ll be tasked with locking down Old Trafford-loving Bukayo Saka.

The centre-half area is still looking a little concerned with nobody returning in that position. This means that by default it’s likely to be Casemiro and Jonny Evans who start.

Moving into midfield, Christian Eriksen needs to be dropped and with Scott McTominay back he should start alongside Kobbie Mainoo.

Ahead of the pivot, it looks likely that we’ll see Bruno Fernandes back in the team after Ten Hag admitted he’s optimistic that his captain will return.

Alejandro Garnacho returns to his now favoured right-wing position as Antony is dropped and then a returning Marcus Rashford slots in on the left.

Rasmus Hojlund is then the man up front and will be hoping that a return to the first-choice attacking quartet also means a return to the goals.
