In the frontline in Ukraine, 108 combat engagements were registered over the last day. Ukrainian troops repelled most attacks in the Avdiivka and Bakhmut sectors, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, the Russians launched seven missile and 74 air strikes, and fired 83 multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties.
Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.
Situation at the frontline
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy maintains military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
More than 10 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Bleshnya, Khrinivka, Sosnivka in Chernihiv region; Basivka, Kindrativka, Sadky, Myropillya, Popivka, and Studenok in Sumy region.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked near the settlements of Strilecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliynykove, Lukyantsi, Hatyshche, Pletenivka in the Kharkiv region. They conducted air strikes near the towns of Vilcha, Liptsi, Lyman, Izbytske, Vesele, Petrivka, Kozacha Lopan, Synelnykove, and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, our soldiers repelled 15 attacks near the settlements of Synkivka, Novoyehorivka, Ivanivka in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, where the enemy was trying to improve its tactical position. The enemy carried out air strikes near the settlements of Tverdokhlibove and Serhiivka in the Luhansk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 6 attacks in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region; Terny in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities suffered from artillery and mortar attacks, including Nevske in Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Torske in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 28 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Vyimka, Rozdolivka, Andriivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, Novyi in Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation.
The enemy also conducted air strikes near Kurdyumivka, Pivnichne and New York in the Donetsk region. More than 15 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Druzhba, Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled more than 20 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske, Novoselivka Persha, Semenivka, Umanske, Netaylove in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions.
He also conducted air strikes in the areas of Kalynove, Karlivka, Mykolaivka, Novohrodivka in Donetsk region. About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske and Umanske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Kostyantynivka, Krasnohorivka, Vodiane, and Urozhayne, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops seven times. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Krasnohorivka, Maksymilianivka, and Heorhiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders 11 times near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and Robotyno in Zaporizhzhia region.
He also conducted an air strike near Storozheve, Donetsk region. About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bilohirya, Robotyne, and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not abandon its intention to push our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, with the support of aviation, he made 2 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops near the village of Krynky, Kherson region.
The enemy conducted an air strike near Antonivka, Kherson region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Krynky, Tiahynka, Antonivka in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
Russian losses
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces and missile units struck one artillery unit, three radar stations and four areas of enemy personnel concentration.
Offensive on Kharkiv region
On the night of May 10, Russian troops attempted to break through the Ukrainian military's defense line in the north of Kharkiv. This attack was repelled, but fighting in the Kharkiv region continues.
