Florida appears to have suffered a significant injury to the starting lineup, with right fielder Ty Evans hurt in a collision with the wall in a game against Kentucky on Saturday.

Evans attempted to catch a foul ball that was careening toward the wall that wraps around right field. He was going full steam when he realized the wall was coming up.

The Florida outfielder barreled into the wall and appeared to get his right wrist caught between his body and the padding.

Coach Kevin O’Sullivan revealed after the game that Ty Evans appeared to have suffered a broken wrist, an injury that would likely keep him out of the lineup for the forseeable future.

“I think his wrist is broken,” O’Sullivan said, according to Gator Country’s Nick Marcinko.

On3 will have more on this developing story shortly.
