\- Potholes is a regular problem raised at Long Sutton Parish Council meetings and residents were urged to the Lincolnshire Highways pothole survey online.

Chairman John Clarey discussed the maintenance of the potholes in Lime Walk undertaken by Lincolnshire County Council.

He said: “Why can’t they do them all instead of some at a time?”

It was discussed that is seems a ‘waste of money’ when a pothole is filled up only for it to need repairs later.

Coun Jack Tyrell, South Holland District Council’s portfolio holder for environmental services, said: “They (potholes) are everywhere.”

A county spokesperson said: “On April 23 we carried out mostly edge overrun infill repairs due to where the road has been eroded with vehicle use. These infills have been put in to make the defects safe and we will continue to do so as needed.

“The main body of the road is something we check during our inspections and at the moment it doesn’t meet the need for a high priority intervention, but we will keep monitoring that as part of our inspection schedule as planned.

“It’s worth reiterating that anyone who wants to tell us about any issues with this road, or any other in the county, can do so by going either to their local county councilor, using Fix My Street or by getting in touch with us directly. We really appreciate anyone taking the time to do this and we will assess each report quickly and take the appropriate course of action available to us.”
