Aldi announces return of 'sell-out' range for pet owners including 'must-have' product - but warns customers they've got to be 'quick'

Aldi's Specialbuys are a beloved feature of the discount supermarket, and the latest is a range designed for pet owners and their pooches on hot days.

The supermarket advised that Britons snap up their pet-friendly products as the weather warms up. However, they will only be available while stocks last.

Aldi said: "Pet owners up and down the country will be thinking of ways to keep pets cool this summer as research shows 75 per cent of heatstroke in dogs results from exercising on hot days.

"But supermarket Aldi has plenty of solutions to keep pets chilled with the return of its sell-out ‘Keep Your Pet Cool’ range, available in stores from May 16 with further products available from May 30.

"Perfect for keeping cool, the new Dog Cooling Sprinkler Mat (£8.99) is a must-have during the hot weather. Simply connect to a hose pipe and adjust sprinkler intensity via the hose water pressure to create hours of fun.

"Meanwhile, the new Dog Cooling Pool (£8.99) is great for those pets looking for an instant refresh. What’s more, these playtime essentials can be folded away for easy storage."

For dog mums and dads looking for a "calmer" way of keeping their dogs cool this summer, the "best-selling" Pet Cooling Mat (Medium, £4.99 and Large, £6.99) offers "an immediate chilling effect thanks to pressure-activated gel that ensures quick relief to pets suffering in the heat".

Aldi’s Sunshade Dog Bed (£17.99) - making an "anticipated return" to the middle aisle - is particularly sun-savvy.

Aldi said: "This bed elevates pets off the hot ground and provides sun protection of up to UV 50, and even comes with a handy carry bag."

Britons who are enjoying a day in the sunshine with their dogs can provide ultimate pup protection with Aldi’s new Cooling Harness (£4.99) and Pet Cooling Towel (£4.99), which can be wet with water and stored in the fridge for "long-lasting comfort".

Taking a swim? Aldi’s Dog Life Jacket (£7.99) is designed to help pooches feel more confident in the water.

Choose between lifeguard red or neon orange - or kit your pup out in an adorable shark-themed piece.

These jackets also include a handle that helps to lift your pet from the water easily.

The supermarket continued: "Aldi’s ice-cold Pet Cooling Toys, starting at £1.99, can provide a refreshing playtime. These can be soaked or filled with water and placed in the freezer beforehand.
