Her purse is believed to have been stolen on Thursday, March 28.

Police have carried out a number of lines of inquiry including a lengthy CCTV trawl to locate the person responsible, but so far have been unsuccessful.

Officers have now released an image of a man that could help them with their inquiries.

PC Amy McMillan, who is investigating the incident, said: “This incident will have understandably caused the victim a great deal of anxiety and distress.

“The victim only realised her purse had been taken when she got home.

“The thief then attempted to make as many transactions as possible on the stolen card.

“We are determined to catch the person responsible and ensure no one else falls victim.

“We have released an image of a man that could help us with our inquiry. Do you know the man in the picture? Are you the man in the picture? Please get in touch as soon as possible.”
