Arsenal fans now all saying the same thing about what Tottenham just did, it's embarrassing

Many Arsenal fans have now made their true feelings known having seen Tottenham Hotspur do one thing after their win over Burnley.

After four consecutive Premier League defeats, including a 3-2 loss in the North London derby against Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways against Burnley on Saturday.

With this 2-1 triumph, which confirmed Burnley’s relegation from the top flight of English football, Spurs kept their chances of a top four finish alive.

In order to stand any chance of breaking into the top four, though, Ange Postecoglou’s side must beat Manchester City when they welcome the reigning champions to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday.

Arsenal fans will be watching that match in the unusual situation of being desperate to see their fierce local rivals pick up a positive result against the Cityzens.

Whilst Spurs are in a scrap for fourth-place, Mikel Arteta’s side are currently in the thick of a title race. However, in order to stand a chance of being crowned champions, the Gunners need Manchester City to drop at least one point in their two remaining matches.

Manchester City have been on a remarkable run of late, though, and few would bet against them doing what they need to do to retain their title. Bukayo Saka insists that Arsenal aren’t getting “frustrated” by this.

The Gunners must instead focus on picking up maximum points from their own outings, starting with a clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Arsenal fans keep a hopeful eye on Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Man City clash

Arsenal supporters, though, will be fixated on the prospect of Spurs doing them a huge favour. However, many fans feel that Postecoglou’s side are already showing signs of weakness ahead of their encounter with Manchester City.

After their win over Burnley, Postecoglou and his players did their lap of honour around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as is traditional at the end of the campaign, to thank their home support. However, Spurs still have one home game left to play – against Manchester City.

Many Arsenal supporters feel that this shows that Tottenham Hotspur aren’t taking their match with Pep Guardiola’s men seriously, perhaps because they aren’t keen on helping Arsenal in their bid to become champions.

Arsenal fans outraged by Tottenham Hotspur lap of honour

One Arsenal fan labelled Spurs’ antics “embarrassing.” Another said: “Don’t you have Manchester City at home on Tuesday? What are you doing? Keep this lap of honor for Tuesday when you beat City.”

One Arsenal fan claimed: “No shame at all you can still make the season wonderful you have city on Tuesday beat them then wait till the final day of the season to qualify for Champions League.”

Another stated: “They literally don’t count the City game.”
