Report: Martin Demichelis told Man City that £12.5m star who hasn't played for them yet is a future superstar

It has been reported that Martin Demichelis has informed Manchester City that they have a future superstar on their hands.

Demichelis’ opinion can be deemed valid as his managerial career has been very promising so far.

This season, the former Manchester City centre-back’s River Plate side are sitting pretty at the top in their domestic division.

Martin Demichelis tells Man City they have a star on their hands

City have a reputation for signing brilliant young players, especially during Pep Guardiola’s time in charge.

Even last summer, the Sky Blues signed Josko Gvardiol, whom Mateo Kovacic praised for having an “unbelievable” debut campaign at the club.

Jeremy Doku is also one to look out for in a few years, as evidenced by his bright first season at the Etihad Stadium.

According to a report by the Mirror, Martin Demichelis has informed Manchester City that Claudio Echeverri is a top player in the making.

City enquired about the £12.5 million (Sky Sports) man’s potential, who is currently on loan at River Plate, who also believe he is a star for the future.

The 18-year-old could be sent out on loan to Real Betis, Las Palmas and Real Sociedad, as alternatives to Girona.

With the Spanish side joining Manchester City by qualifying for the Champions League next season, UEFA rules prohibit any loan deals between two clubs in the same competition with the same owner.

A duo of Claudio Echeverri and Phil Foden could be dangerous

If Martin Demichelis is proven right about Claudio Echeverri over time, Manchester City could have a very exciting youngster on their books.

With Kevin De Bruyne not getting any younger, it helps City that Phil Foden has shown this season that he is the heir to his throne.

If Echeverri justifies his potential, he could potentially emerge as a partner in the middle of the park alongside Foden.

The prospect of both attacking midfielders running runs around opponents and creating chances aplenty would be a nightmare for any team.

With Claudio Echeverri’s standout traits being his dribbling and his final ball, much like Phil Foden, they could form one of the most dangerous partnerships behind the striker in world football one day.
