Manchester United player ratings vs Arsenal

Andre Onana – 7

Didnt do anything wrong for the goal and made some half-decent stops, particularly from Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice late into the second half. A somewhat quiet afternoon for the Cameroonian all things considered.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Made one vital fantastic block in the second half, but again wasn’t particularly impressive. Did what he needed to do, and it was definitely an improvement from his performance against Crystal Palace.

Casemiro – 4

Was at fault for the first-half Leandro Trossard strike and looked once again uncomfortable in the centre-half role. Miles off what he was last season. Wonder how much of the £60m we’ll get back this summer.

Jonny Evans – 5

Did a job, but you can’t help but think he still isn’t fully fit. A rather mediocre performance that you can’t really fault or give high praise to for Jonny Evans.

Diogo Dalot – 6

Looked like one of Manchester United’s brighter players. Carried the ball well on a few occasions and had the tough job of keeping Bukayo Saka quiet – which he did for most of the game.

Sofyan Amrabat – 6

Definitely one of his better games in a Manchester United shirt, but that’s not saying a lot. He was good at breaking up play and wasn’t scared to put a challenge in.

Kobbie Mainoo – 5

Another forgettable game for Mainoo. He got lost in a sea of Arsenal midfielders.

Scott McTominay – 5

Battled well, but offered nothing going forward. Makes you realise how integral Bruno Fernandes is to this Manchester United first-team squad.

Amad Diallo – 5

Offered something different going forward, but Amad Diallo didn’t exactly grasp the opportunity for a rare start under Erik ten Hag with two hands. Bang average, unfortunately, then went off through injury.

Rasmus Hojlund – 4

Rasmus Hojlund fails to score again or really gets into the game at all. His isolation in every single fixture is becoming a huge problem for the Red Devils. Not proving his £64m worth at the moment.

Alejandro Garnacho – 7

The brightest attacker by a country mile, but had no end product whatsoever. The Argentine did cause issues for Ben White. Very promising.

Antony – 5

Little to no impact after coming on for Amad. Couldn’t double his Premier League tally this season. A great challenge in the dying embers.

Ethan Wheatley – 5

Didn’t have a chance to make an impact.

Omari Forson – 5

Likewise to Wheatley.

Christian Eriksen – 5

Made some simple passes, but didn’t create anything in the short time he spent on the pitch.
