'Kudos': Rodney Marsh appears to mock Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Rodney Marsh has taken to X to seemingly mock Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in a sarcastic post.

Klopp’s final few weeks at Liverpool haven’t gone totally according to plan, as his side have fallen away in the title race.

The Reds have also seen hopes of a Europa League triumph dashed after being beaten 3-1 on aggregate by Atalanta.

Fierce rivals Manchester United also dealt them a 4-3 defeat in the FA Cup, so few would suggest it’s been a happy ending for the German boss.

But that’s not to take anything away from his outstanding eight-and-a-half-year reign at Anfield, which many would argue has cemented him as one of the greatest managers in football history.

Though, Marsh seemed to take a jibe at his Liverpool career.

Rodney Marsh appears to take aim at Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League record

Marsh took to X on Sunday and appeared to sarcastically mock Klopp for only winning one Premier League title in nine seasons.

The former City striker appeared to place him in the same category as Manuel Pellegrini and Roberto Mancini, who both have one title to their name.

Though, few would argue that they’re greats of the Premier League, so perhaps Marsh was indicating that Klopp isn’t in the elite tier of managers, too.

Where Jurgen Klopp ranks in comparison to the greats

Indeed, there is no getting away from the fact that Klopp has only won one Premier League title but he’s been up against one of the best sides to ever grace the top-flight in the form of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Further, the former Borussia Dortmund boss has had to operate on a far more limited budget, so many would argue his job is far harder.

Anyhow, Klopp and Guardiola are both greats of the Premier League and belong in the elite tier, with Sir Alex Ferguson taking the number one spot.
