Arsenal fans will love how Martin Odegaard hilariously ‘humiliated’ one Man Utd star

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard produced one spectacular piece of skill during the Gunners’ 1-0 win against Manchester United.

Arsenal were not at their best as they battled to a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.

Despite Mikel Arteta’s side’s slightly flat performance, they were still able to get the three points they desperately needed against Manchester United to keep their Premier League title dream alive.

The Gunners were particularly poor in the middle of the park. Declan Rice struggled to impose himself on the match for any sustained period. Thomas Partey was called out by Arsenal fans for his poor display. Meanwhile, Martin Odegaard was far less influential than he so often has been this season.

The Norwegian still worked hard, as ever, but couldn’t dictate his team’s attacking play in the fashion that Arsenal fans have become accustomed to seeing. After all, Odegaard has been the most creative player in Europe this season.

Despite failing to fire on all cylinders at Old Trafford, the 25-year-old was still able to demonstrate his class with one eye-catching moment of trickery, at the expense of Sofyan Amrabat.

Martin Odegaard skill against Man Utd entertains Arsenal fans

In the 55th minute of the game, the Arsenal man had the ball wide on the right, under pressure from the Manchester United man. Odegaard was facing the touchline, and seemed to have nowhere to go, as Amrabat closed him down.

With a drop of the shoulder and a swerve of the hips, though, Odegaard was able to wrong-foot the Morocco international and send him sprawling comically to the turf. Odegaard came away with the ball and played it in-field to Bukayo Saka, sparking another Arsenal attack.

Arsenal fans particularly enjoyed this moment. One supporter of the North London club took to X to exclaim: “Odegaard humiliated Amrabat.”

Arsenal take Premier League title race to the wire

With this win in the bag, Arsenal are now guaranteed to still be in the hunt for the Premier League title come their final game of the season against Everton on Sunday.

Their challengers for that crown, Manchester City, still have two games left to play. They will face Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday evening. Arsenal will now be praying for their fierce North London rivals to take points off Manchester City in that clash.

If that happens, then the destiny of the Premier League title will be in Arsenal’s own hands when they take on the Toffees.
