Weekly losses: Ukrainian Forces report heavy toll on Russian troops

During the week from May 5 to May 12, the Russian troops suffered losses of 8030 military personnel and over 1300 units of equipment and armament. Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine landed one aircraft and 274 drones, the commander of the Ground Forces, Oleksandr Pavliuk, informed.

Overall enemy combat losses from May 5-12 include:

  • Personnel: 8030 individuals eliminated
  • Tanks: 79 units
  • Combat armored vehicles: 196 units
  • Artillery systems: 260 units
  • Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 9 units
  • Anti-aircraft missile systems: 7 units
  • Aircraft: 1 unit
  • Tactical UAVs: 274 units
  • Cruise missiles: 47 units
  • Automobiles and tank trucks: 401 units
  • Specialized equipment: 40 units

Russia's losses in Ukraine

On May 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated an additional 1260 Russian military. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 482,290 military personnel.

Furthermore, on May 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to shoot down another Russian Su-25 aircraft near Avdiivka. Russia has now lost a total of 350 aircraft and 325 helicopters.

Additionally, during the week from April 28 to May 5, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 8110 Russian military personnel and one aircraft. In April 2024, the Russian army lost 26,960 military personnel and 4508 units of equipment and armament, with one enemy aircraft shot down during the month.
