Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 13: 1,740 troops and 31 tanks

Ukrainian defenders have eliminated another 1,740 Russian invaders in the past day, bringing the total losses of the enemy army in personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion to around 484,030 soldiers. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 31 Russian tanks and 42 armored personnel carriers, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to May 13, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: around 484,030 (+1,740) individuals;
  • Tanks: 7,485 (+31) units;
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 14,417 (+42) units;
  • Artillery systems: 12,487 (+15) units;
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,070 (+4) units;
  • Anti aircraft warfare systems: 797 units;
  • Aircraft: 350 units;
  • Helicopters: 325 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 9,936 (+26) units;
  • Cruise missiles: 2,197 (+3) units;
  • Warships/boats: 26 units;
  • Submarines: 1 unit;
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 16,878 (+59) units;
  • Special equipment: 2,048 (+6) units.

Frontline situation

Today, on May 13, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the situation remains challenging and dynamically changing on the Kharkiv direction. Currently, battles are ongoing for Vovchansk. Military command said that the enemy has engaged significant forces to advance on the city, comprising up to 5 battalions and disregarding their own losses.

Additionally, in the evening summary of the General Staff on May 12, it was indicated that 146 combat engagements were recorded on the front line during the past day.
