Roy Keane explains how Arsenal players felt in the dressing room amid scathing Man Utd rant

Roy Keane has issued his verdict on how Arsenal’s players would have been feeling after their huge win against Manchester United.

The north London side once again backed up their Premier League title credentials with a big victory on the road at Old Trafford, with Leandro Trossard’s first-half goal the difference maker for Arsenal against United.

With Gary Neville lauding William Saliba for his defensive performance, it was a fixture where Arsenal’s work at the back was the key factor in getting all three points, with United beyond toothless in their attempts to cause the Gooners any damage.

And Keane has now issued his verdict on how Arsenal must have felt after the match.

Arsenal players wouldn’t ‘believe’ how bad Manchester United were

Speaking on Sky Sports after the match, Keane took aim at United’s performance by claiming that Arsenal players would have been delighted with how easy their 1-0 win at Old Trafford was.

Despite being off the boil themselves, Arsenal did not need to do much to get the best over United, who again showed that they are worlds away from competing with the likes of Mikel Arteta for the Premier League title.

Keane said when asked how Arsenal players will be feeling after the win against United: “Arsenal players will be in the dressing room saying ‘how easy was that’?

“They hardly got into second gear. They knew when they got their goal and are so solid at the back it was game over. I bet Arsenal couldn’t believe how bad Manchester United were.”

Arsenal showed just how far they’ve come under Mikel Arteta

Whilst the Premier League title isn’t in their hands, Arsenal showed on Sunday once again just how far they’ve come under Arteta since the former club captain’s appointment as manager.

Arsenal are on course to enjoy their best season ever in the Premier League in terms of points tallied, wins accumulated and goals scored, a feat that might not even be enough to bring home the title.

And yesterday’s win at Old Trafford showed just how far Arsenal have come, and also how far United have dropped off once again in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, with Erik Ten Hag’s future on the line.
