William Saliba thinks Arsenal have got a 'monster' after what one player did v Man Utd

William Saliba now thinks Arsenal have a ‘monster’ on their hands after what one player did yesterday against Manchester United.

The French international was once again Man of the Match for Arsenal as Saliba put in another incredible shift at the back for the Gunners, with Gary Neville in awe of the 23-year-old defender.

With Leandro Trossard scoring the sole goal of the match, Saliba’s performance at the back was needed if Arsenal were to come away with all three points, taking the Premier League title race to the final day of the season.

Yet for Saliba, the defender was impressed by another Arsenal teammate at Old Trafford.

Saliba hails Gabriel Magalhaes after Arsenal display vs Manchester United

Taking to Instagram, Saliba praised Gabriel Magalhaes for his performance against United, with the French defender replying ‘monster’ to his centre-back partner’s post on social media.

Whilst Saliba has won all the plaudits this season, Gabriel’s work at the back for Arsenal has arguably been just as important, with the Brazilian international enjoying his best year yet for the Gunners.

The 26-year-old centre-back has ironed out virtually all of the flaws in his game, and it’s no real surprise that Gabriel has gone the entire season as one of Arsenal’s most important players at the back.

Indeed, the Gunners would not be where they are today had it not been for Gabriel and his development, and the Brazilian defender will be keen to end the season on a high by winning the Premier League title.

Arsenal owe their Premier League success to Gabriel and Saliba

The old adage in football is attack wins you games but defence wins you titles, and the saying could not be more true for Arsenal this season than what we have seen from Gabriel and Saliba.

The centre-back pairing has this year been the best in the Premier League and arguably in Europe with Arsenal keeping the most clean sheets out of any side in the English top-flight this season.

And if Arsenal are to win the Premier League, the success will be down to Gabriel and Saliba’s immense partnership at the back, with the duo a key cornerstone to Mikel Arteta’s system this year.
