Ukrainian defenders in the Kharkiv region neutralized a whole group of Russian occupants who tried to advance through the gray zone in the forest belt, according to the National Guard of Ukraine.

The soldiers of the 2nd separate detachment of the Special Forces Center OMEGA neutralized the Russian group with just one FPV drone.

The National Guard noted that the occupiers were near the border.

Situation in Kharkiv region

On May 10, Russia intensified its offensive in the direction of the Kharkiv region. The Russian occupiers intensified shelling in the northern direction, primarily striking the city of Vovchansk.

The day before, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was reported that battles were underway for Vovchansk. The military command informed that the enemy had sent significant forces of up to 5 battalions to attack the city and was not counting its losses.

As explained by the head of the National Security and Defense Council's Central Intelligence Center, Andrii Kovalenko, against the backdrop of manipulations on the topic of fortifications on the border of the Kharkiv region, it is currently impossible to build defensive lines there, because then Ukrainian defenders will be under heavy Russian fire.
