Alexander Isak spotted holding talks with Newcastle United chairman

Arsenal have been linked with a £120m move for Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak and on Saturday, he was spotted holding talks with club chairman Yasir Al Rumayyan, according to the Mirror.

Following Newcastle’s 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday, the 24-year-old, who has scored 24 goals this season, had a lengthy discussion with Al Rumayyan.

Isak’s family were thought to be present in the talks, though, there is no confirmation if it was transfer-related.

It took place on the St James’ Park pitch, as players and their families thanked the Newcastle faithful for their support in a lap of appreciation.

Arsenal may have to look at other targets

Newcastle have been pushing back on rumours of Isak’s departure for weeks now as the club are insistent on not selling any of their prized assets, including Anthony Gordon who has been linked with Liverpool.

Unless The Gunners are prepared to outlay an eye-watering amount on the Sweden international, likely a British transfer record, it seems he’ll be remaining on Tyneside.

Benjamin Sesko has been a name mooted, as has Joshua Zirkzee, so they seem the more viable options at this stage.
