Noha Lemina gives 4-word reaction as brother Mario wins Wolves supporters' Player of the Season award

Wolves crashed to a 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace on Saturday, but there was a consolation for Mario Lemina as he was named the Supporters’ Player of the Season.

Wanderers lost their last game of the season at Molineux against Palace, who continued their fine form under new manager Oliver Glasner.

After Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta had put Palace 2-0 up, Matheus Cunha pulled one back for the hosts midway through the second-half.

But Ebere Eze restored the visitors’ two-goal cushion, and there was to be no fightback.

The season has rather petered out for Wolves, but many expected that to be the case given that fatigue has set in after a number of injuries.

At least there was reason for Mario Lemina to smile, after he was presented with the Supporters’ Player of the Season award – and his youngster brother Noha Lemina reacted to his win on social media…

Lemina scooping that award is a reflection of a top season for the Gabon international.

The £10 million man has been a warrior in the middle of the park for Wolves this season, and has sometimes filled in out wide when Gary O’Neil has been short.

Lemina has said publicly that he doesn’t care where he plays so long as he can help the team.

Throughout the season, he has shown real leadership, constantly fronting up when Wolves have lost games and not offering excuses for poor displays.

He has been an inspirational player and often the heartbeat of the side, and these are just a few reasons why fans have chosen him as their Player of the Season.

Noha Lemina, Mario’s younger brother who signed for the club in January, gave a four-word reaction to the news that many fans will agree with.

He said on his Story: “Well deserved big brother!!! ❤️❤️❤️”

Lemina totally deserves it

Lemina receiving the Supporters’ Player of the Season award on Saturday was really good to see, and as Noha suggests, he completely deserves it.

The three main forwards for Wolves have been brilliant season. But Lemina has just always been there for Wolves and runs his socks off every single game.

He’s run himself into the ground for the team this term, and his work-rate and leadership are traits that really endear him to the Molineux faithful. And also his teammates – Nelson Semedo said a few weeks ago that he just had a ‘massive respect’ for the 30-year-old.

He gets what it means to play for Wolves, and Gary O’Neil and the fans are very lucky to have a player like this in the team. Realistically, every squad needs an individual like him.
