'I just want': Dejan Kulusevski shares if Spurs want to spoil Arsenal's title chances ahead of Man City clash

Dejan Kulusevski has revealed whether Tottenham Hotspur are intending to ruin the chance Arsenal have to win the Premier League by losing to Manchester City.

Tottenham supporters are perhaps feeling a rollercoaster of emotions while approaching their upcoming contest against City.

On one hand, any fan would like for their team to win and that too when Spurs still have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League. Aston Villa are four points above Tottenham and unless the Lilywhites get a win at the Etihad Stadium, their top-four hopes seem all but over.

But then beating Pep Guardiola’s men in a one-off game is a difficult task, especially when they will be determined to take the title race to the last day of the season.

Kulusevski tells-all on how Tottenham will approach Man City game

However, if Tottenham do beat Manchester City, they will have given Arsenal a massive boost in their pursuit to win the league title, which is far from ideal as both clubs are eternal rivals.

From City’s perspective, the contest is akin to a cup final.

Their remaining league games can be considered those aside from the FA Cup final itself, which spices up the storyline of this game.

According to Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski, they will have Manchester City on their minds instead of even considering Arsenal.

“No. When you play football, you want to win and that’s the only thing we think about.”

“I honestly don’t watch the schedule”, he told The Standard.

“I just want to win. I know it’s an amazing game now on Tuesday against City, and my focus is on that now. If we win, then anything can happen.

Kulusevski added, “It’s going to be an amazing game because we always have good games against City. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to play against the best. I think we will absolutely be ready.”

“I think we’ve got what it takes to make a game of it and play our football and see where that takes us.”

“They [City] and Arsenal are the benchmark of the competition right now.”

The Man City players must not buy the Arsenal narrative

Top professionals like Dejan Kulusevski and his Tottenham teammates will not be considering Arsenal when facing Manchester City.

As a result, City must not either, in our view and simply focus on beating Spurs in a game that could go down as a Premier League classic.

There are no free lunches in elite sport; the Sky Blues players, Pep Guardiola and their staff must be aware of this very reality, having had to fight for their success over the years.

Tottenham will be gearing up to beat City and the hosts must show Kulusevski and Co. that at the end of the day, they want the victory more than them on Tuesday.
