Nutrionist's brilliant 'no peel' hack to prepare egg salad is an absolute game-changer

Egg sandwiches and salads are delicious and nutritious. As much as one would like to relish them often, peeling hard-boiled eggs can be tedious.

There are several ways to hard-boil eggs to suit individual preferences. No matter how the insides taste, peeling the shell off is a part of the process that most people dislike. But, a nutritionist has shared a brilliant hack so you don’t have to peel an egg ever again.

Nutritionist shares easy ‘no peel’ hack for egg dishes

Don’t worry about having to peel an egg ever again – a nutritionist shows in a TikTok video how to get the same results in a few simple steps.

Here’s how Ilana Muhlstein Aka NutritionBabe on TikTok does it:

  • Take a large pan and spray it with avocado oil.
  • Crack how many ever eggs you wish to prepare in it.
  • Place the pan inside a larger glass tray and fill water until the egg line.
  • Bake it at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
  • The eggs should be perfectly cooked when you remove them from the oven – the whites and yolks in the right consistency as if they were hard-boiled.
  • You can cut them into smaller pieces for salads and sandwiches.

Even though the baking time may exceed the time it takes to hard-boil a whole egg, you don’t have to worry about peeling each one of them.

The above hack works best to prepare a large number of eggs at once without having to spend a lot of time removing the shells.

If hard-boiled eggs are what you prefer and don’t mind the peeling, we suggest trying the 5-5-5 method.

Popular on TikTok, the above technique is egg lovers’ favorite. It only takes 15 minutes to achieve perfectly-boiled eggs. We tried the hack to see if it lives up to the hype and the outcome wasn’t disappointing.

All you need to do is fill a pressure cooker or an instant pot with one cup of water (or more depending on the number of eggs) with a steamer basket inside.

Arrange the eggs over the steamer basket and cook it on high flame for five minutes. Turn the cooker off and wait for five more minutes for the steam to release on its own.

The third and final step involves transferring the boiled eggs into a bowl filled with ice cubes and water. Wait five more minutes before peeling them, and hard-boiled eggs are ready to serve.
