German construction giant Hochtief reports Q1 income boost

The German construction firm Hochtief announced a first quarter profit increase compared to the same period last year.

The company's bottom line came in at €132.8 million ($143.4 million), or €1.77 per share.

This compares with €127.5 million, or €1.70 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 9.2% to €6.8 billion from €6.2 billion last year.
