The Esk outlines what Everton must achieve before multiple takeover bidders will emerge

Everton’s takeover is a process that has spanned nearly nine months now, and is still seemingly no closer to a conclusion.

However, that being said, we do have progress when it comes to 777 Partners, with the Miami-based firm seemingly in complete disarray after numerous failed efforts to assume control at Goodison Park.

It is really fortunate that they were not granted access into the club, but it is also worth questioning how it took the Premier League so long to figure out that they were unfit for purpose.

Regardless, focus must move elsewhere, particularly on who might come in to take their spot as the frontrunner to succeed Farhad Moshiri.

The Esk offers Everton takeover update

Taking to X, The Esk would offer a surprisingly positive follow-up to an already uplifting initial tweet.

Both he and Alan Myers seemed to finally be on the same page regarding the future of Everton, with Paul Quinn, the writer and finance guru, saying: ‘Critical week ahead. That is fact.

‘However a good number of highly qualified, experienced, influential & well resourced Blues are working virtually around the clock to secure our future. Keep the faith the solution providers are working harder than those who caused the problems.’

Then, when asked by a fellow fan if there were ‘multiple bidders’ waiting to buy the Toffees, he replied: ‘There are, but stability is required first.’

These multiple bidders need to emerge soon

With rumours that those waiting in the wings are hoping for the club to fall into administration, before swooping in and picking up the pieces, this would mark a devastating outcome.

And, whoever was to then assume control, would instantly face an uphill battle convincing the fanbase that this was the best move after just laying off hundreds of staff and allowing one of the pillars of their community to fall into disrepute.

Regardless, that does not feel like a real possibility unless things go horrifically wrong.

So, hopefully these bidders can emerge soon to save the club from such a dire possibility.

Given the fact that Moshiri has already started looking elsewhere, seemingly discounting 777 Partners as he should have done a long time ago, hopefully we will see some movement on that front in the coming weeks.

This summer promises to see huge change provoked, and a new owner set to lead the club into a hopefully brighter future could be just the start they need to potentially convince a few of their star players to stick around at Goodison Park for a little while longer.
