現地時間2024年5月13日、チャイルディッシュ・ガンビーノが『Atavista』（アルバム『3.15.20』のアップデート版）のリリースに続いて、【ザ・ニュー・ワールド・ツアー】を発表した。
2018年以来となるドナルド・グローヴァーのツアーは、ウィローとアマレイをオープニングに迎え、8月11日に米オクラホマ州オクラホマ・シティでキックオフする。
ツアー日程が記載されたフライヤーを投稿したインスタグラムのキャプションに、彼は「アーティスト先行予約（そしてアメリカン・エキスプレスカード会員）は現地時間5月15日（水）、UK公演は火曜日、オーストラリア公演は木曜日に開始します」と綴り、「一般発売は5月17日（金）にスタートします。アーティスト先行予約のコードを入手するにはツアーの公式サイトで今すぐ登録してください」と続けた。
同ツアーは、北米、オーストラリア、そしてヨーロッパで開催される。米オクラホマシティの後、デトロイト、フィラデルフィア、ボストン、ブルックリン、アトランタ、ヒューストン、ダラス、デンバー、ポートランド、ロサンゼルスといった都市を回り、10月3日にシカゴ公演で北米ツアーは締めくくられる予定だ。その後、彼はイタリア、ベルギー、オランダ、ノルウェー、フランス、ドイツ、イギリスなどで公演を行う。
チャイルディッシュ・ガンビーノの『Atravista』は、2020年3月に新型コロナウイルスのパンデミックのために世界がロックダウンに備えている時に彼がリリースした未完成のプロジェクト『3.15.20』の11曲入りのアップデート版となる。
アリアナ・グランデ（「Time」）、21サヴェージ（「Psilocybae」）、サマー・ウォーカー（「Sweet Thang」）、ヤング・ヌーディ（「Little Foot Big Foot」）とのコラボレーションは、曲名が変更されているものもあるが、『Atavista』にも収録されている。また、ガンビーノは同プロジェクトと並行して、ヒロ・ムライ監督による「Little Foot Big Foot」のモノクロ・ビデオも公開しており、『アボット・エレメンタリー』のキンタ・ブライソンが出演している。
40歳になるガンビーノは、夏に今年2枚目のアルバムをリリースする準備を進めている。同アルバムは、近日公開予定の映画『Bando Stone & The New World』のサウンドトラックとなる。
今年4月に行ったギルガ・ラジオの配信で、彼は「私のファンはとても素晴らしく、とても辛抱強く、待ってくれています。このアルバムは彼らのためのものです」と述べていた。
