Drone attacked fuel train in Russia - Tanker exploded, causing fire

In the Volgograd region of Russia, a drone attacked a freight train carrying fuel in tanker cars. Several cars derailed, resulting in an explosion and a fire, according to Russian media reports.

The incident occurred in the area of the Kotluban station around 1 a.m. local time. As a result of the drone strike, one tanker exploded and two fuel cars caught fire. There was a spill of petroleum products on the ground, igniting the grass.

In total, 9 cars derailed. The cause of the accident has officially been attributed to the intervention of third parties.

There were no casualties. Firefighting efforts are ongoing.

Air attacks in Russia

Recently, various regions of Russia have been experiencing frequent drone attacks on critical infrastructure objects, as well as mysterious explosions and fires.

During the night of May 13, drones attacked the Lipetsk region. A fire broke out at one of the substations in the region.

That same night, drones attacked the Belgorod region. Infrastructure damage has been reported, and there are casualties.
