Pep Guardiola to make one change, £50m player to start: Man City predicted line-up vs Tottenham

As Manchester City prepare to face Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday, we have theorised how they could lineup for the clash.

Coming off the back of their 4-0 victory against Fulham, Pep Guardiola could just make one change to his side, in our view.

Ahead of the contest, Ange Postecoglou expressed his desire for Tottenham to beat Manchester City via HaytersTV.

Ederson Moraes will be hoping to keep another clean sheet against Tottenham, as he is dead set to start in our predicted Manchester City lineup for the game.

Kyle Walker could come into the side, after he was benched against Fulham on Saturday.

The £50 million man’s experience could be deemed as invaluable in a game of this magnitude.

The Englishman could replace Nathan Ake in the team, even though Pep Guardiola claimed that his injury is “not serious” and he could be available to face Spurs.

Manuel Akanji, who started as a right-back against Fulham could be moved to centre-back due to Kyle Walker’s potential inclusion in the side.

Manchester City colossus Ruben Dias is expected to retain his place in our predicted lineup to feature against Tottenham, especially after he put in a brilliant display against Fulham.

At left-back, Josko Gvardiol also seems guaranteed to start against Spurs, especially after his brace against Marco Silva’s side.

Similarly, the double pivot of Rodri and Mateo Kovacic, who ran the show against Fulham could feature yet again in tandem at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In the number 10 position, Manchester City will be hoping Kevin De Bruyne puts in a vintage performance against Tottenham, as a player of his ilk may be the first name on the team sheet in our predicted lineup for the contest.

As for the front three, Pep Guardiola has no reason to make any changes.

Bernardo Silva picked up an assist for Josko Gvardiol’s second goal against Fulham, as the City boss praised his quality and mentality after the game.

Erling Haaland would be hoping to prove a point against Tottenham, just like he did with his breathtaking display against Arsenal in the title decider where Manchester City won 4-1 last season.

As for Phil Foden, who scored in the reverse fixture against the Lilywhites in the 3-3 draw, his eye for goal could prove key for the Sky Blues in their upcoming clash.
