Watch: Tom Hanks goes crazy after Jhon Duran's last-gasp equaliser against Liverpool

Jhon Duran’s last-gasp equaliser against Liverpool prompted crazy celebrations from Aston Villa fan Tom Hanks in a sensational 3-3 draw.

It was a crazy game at Villa Park. Unai Emery’s side looked down and out just after half-time. Jarell Quansah’s headed effort put the Reds 3-1 up 48 minutes in.

The hosts had plenty of chances to find the net, yet, multiple of Villa’s first team squandered massive opportunities.

Diego Carlos’ was perhaps the most baffling, as he missed a 0.99 xG opportunity in the first half.

However, super-sub Duran would step up and netted twice just before stoppage time to give Villa a precious point.

One man who was there to witness the memorable night take place was Hollywood actor Hanks.

Hanks has been a Villa fan since he was a young man. Since then, he has consistently stated his allegiance to the Claret and Blue and this was renewed on Monday night.

At first, it seemed as if his trip would be a miserable one as the American saw Champions League qualification slip through Villa’s fingers.

However, upon Duran’s late equaliser, Hanks became over joyous as he witnessed one of the most memorable moments in recent Villa history.

A clip on Sky Sports showed the actor in shock at the late goal with his hands on his head trying to process the situation.

Journalist Jacob Tanswell described the situation as a fitting end to the final game at Villa Park this season as Hanks could be seen punching the air and hugging those around him.

Looking back on the campaign, this could well be Villa’s most memorable moment.

With Champions League qualification on a tightrope, the club needed something to pull them back into the game.

Luckily, Duran was on form to ensure the hosts came away with possibly one of the most vital points in Villa’s history.

Games such as that are a prime reason why people such as Hanks and Prince William support the club – you never know what is going to happen next.

Villa are now just one game away from the Champions League to round off an emphatic campaign. Hopefully, Jack Grealish and Man City can get the job done on Tuesday night to make it a week of celebration.
