'I'm a dermatologist and my free hair hack makes the biggest difference if you want to look younger - it's an instant facelift'

There are plenty of options out there for women who want to turn back the clock, from anti-ageing makeup routines to youthful hair hacks to skin care solutions.

Some women go down the cosmetic procedure route - be this surgical or non-surgical - for more long-term results, although these can be very expensive.

According to The Budget Dermatologist, there are some entirely "free" ways women can take years off their age, one being a high ponytail hairstyle.

Dr Maren Locke said: "This is my favourite hack of them all because it makes the biggest instant difference.

"I want you to put your hair into a high pony and see the difference that makes." The expert called the effect an "instant facelift".

The savvy dermatologist explained that when she uses this simple hair hack, she feels "lighter and lifted" in her lower face.

As we age, we may notice that the skin in the lower portion of our face does not feel as tight and taut as it did in our younger years.

The experts at Kensington Medical explained: "Losing collagen and elastin - two proteins that keep skin firm and elastic - begins in your 40s. This results in sagging skin around the lower face, jawline, and neck.

While a high ponytail cannot fix this inevitable issue long-term, it certainly is a quick-fix that makes a big difference.

The dermatologist added: "It can even lift the cheeks and jowls which really fights against gravity."

A facial yoga expert shared the one-minute exercise women can do to keep their jowls at bay.

Dr Maren offered a second free anti-ageing hack for ladies who want to look younger, calling it "ice, ice baby".

She explained that freezing a spoon or two and applying this to the under-eyes the right way can help you "de-puff" instantly, "decrease inflammation", and "help tighten up your skin".

She said: "You can even combine this method with a little massage to help decrease those under-eye bags."

Alternatively, ladies can wrap an ice cube in a skin care towel and apply them under their eyes. She claimed that doing this, coupled with a massage, will reap results "right away".

However, the expert provided an important warning. Those trying these ice hacks should never apply ice directly to their skin or use any of the methods for a prolonged period of time.

She explained that this would not have anti-ageing benefits, but rather, could cause "damage" to the skin.

According to a plastic surgeon, women can take years off with an eyebrow hack. Ladies may be able to take years off their age by tweezing their eyebrows the right way.
