Officials and VAR confirmed ahead of Celtic's final Scottish Premiership match vs St Mirren

Celtic face off against St Mirren this Saturday in their final match of the Scottish Premiership calendar at Parkhead.

At the time of writing, the Bhoys hold a six-point lead over Rangers at the summit with two matches to go and a superior goal difference, which puts forward the potential for title-winning celebrations in Glasgow’s east end.

Regardless, Celtic still need a point from their last couple of games to be officially crowned. Brendan Rodgers’ men travel to Kilmarnock tomorrow, mindful that a draw would achieve this feat.

Another scenario that could see the Irishman’s men retain the title earlier than expected is if Rangers fail to take three points at home to Dundee tonight.

Nevertheless, St Mirren will provide a stiff test in light of their form under Stephen Robinson, who had led his outfit to within a whisker of securing continental qualification.

With all the action commencing at 12.30 pm, Celtic fans have sold out Parkhead in the hope their side will be able to celebrate the Scottish Premiership title at full-time.

Kevin Clancy has been brought in as the chief VAR operator for the affair, with John McCrossan also on hand to observe any contentious moments. Alan Muir is the fourth official on this occasion.

Celtic may already be over the line by the time they kick off on Saturday; however, hopefully they can take care of business ahead of what promises to be an exciting day at Parkhead.

Supporters have already snapped up tickets for the occasion, and they will be desperate to see their side deliver for the final time at home this season.
