‘I suspect’: Chris Sutton predicts £50m Chelsea player will end up playing for Crystal Palace

Pundit Chris Sutton has predicted that one Chelsea player will be on the move to a side lower in the Premier League table soon.

The Blues are set to part ways with a number of top players at the end of the season as they look to raise funds to invest in their squad again.

When it comes to making money, they may be parting ways with a number of their top talents who are currently featuring for the first team.

Reports continue to linkConor Gallagher with a move away this summer, despite the fact that he has donned the captain’s armband on numerous occasions this season.

It has been claimed that the Blues would be keen to get rid ofRaheem Sterling, however the player reportedly has a desire to prove doubters wrong at Stamford Bridge.

Sutton tips Raheem Sterling to join Crystal Palace

Sutton however has claimed to ‘It’s all kicking off’ that he believes the England international needs a kick-start to his career, and this could come as a result of a move elsewhere in the Premier League.

He said: “He will probably end up at Crystal Palace or somewhere like that, I suspect. I thought his goal was excellent at the weekend, we aren’t party to what goes on at the Chelsea training ground and clearly Pochettino feels there has been a dip in form.

“We know what a talented player he is. But he does look like a player who needs a player to kick-start his career.”

Things have not gone to plan for Sterling since his £50m move in 2022, when the intention was for him to become the star man at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling scores big goal against Nottingham Forest

While he has really struggled for minutes lately, he cropped up with a big goal late in the day against Nottingham Forest at the weekend to bring his side back into the game that they ended up winning 3-2.

Places in the attack are hard to come by right now with good form elsewhere, and this means he will be having limited chances to prove his worth before the season comes to an end.
