Report: What Oliver Glasner is desperate to see happen at Crystal Palace this summer

This summer could be a big one for Crystal Palace with plenty of incomings and outgoings expected. But there’s one thing Oliver Glasner doesn’t want.

It’s been quite incredible to see the transformation that Crystal Palace has undergone in just a few months under Oliver Glasner.

From relegation contenders to potentially finishing in the top 10, it’s been a miraculous turnaround.

For Glasner, there have been several standout stars in this form, but as would be expected, such excellent displays have attracted substantial interest.

But while it’s expected that Palace players will be linked continuously with moves away, Glasner doesn’t want this to impact one thing.

What Glasner wants to avoid this summer at Selhurst Park

Interest in the club’s standout players is unavailable at this point considering just how good they’ve been of late.

However, according to The Guardian, despite recognising that the club may sell one or two key players, Glasner isn’t keen to allow speculation to dominate his summer.

He’s said to be unwilling to allow the transfer speculation, which is destined to arrive, to affect preparations for next season.

This could mean that Palace will be far more unwilling to sell once preseason has begun as then next season’s planning will be in full swing.

But this is easier said than done considering the release clauses which are in place right now for the likes of Michael Olise.

Which players might Crystal Palace sell this summer?

After some excellent campaigns for several players at Copers Cope this season, interest is high in several of the standout performers.

Olise is the main name which many expect will be bid for and potentially signed as he’s got a release clause and has several clubs keen on him.

Eberechi Eze is another who’ll have substantial interest this coming summer, although along with Olise, Palace will be desperate to retain the dynamic duo.

Marc Guehi is a third, while Adam Wharton has also begun to draw interest ahead of the summer despite only joining in January.
