‘You’re an absolute disgrace’: Jamie O’Hara slammed after what he’s just said about Tottenham

Jamie O’Hara has been labelled an ‘absolute disgrace’ after what he’s said about Tottenham Hotspur’s clash against Manchester City.

Tottenham are set to host the reigning champions in a game that will have huge consequences in the Premier League title race.

Should Ange Postecoglou’s men pick up a result against City, it would lead to their north London rivals heading into the final day of the season at the top of the table.

A City victory would leave Pep Guardiola’s side just one win away from securing their fourth consecutive title.

There is also something riding on the game for Spurs though following Aston Villa’s 3-3 draw at home to Liverpool last night.

The north Londoners sit five points behind the Villains and a victory would see the race for the top four go down to the final day of the season.

But Jamie O’Hara would rather see Spurs miss out on Champions League football than hand Arsenal a huge boost in the title race.

O’Hara slammed after Tottenham vs City verdict

Speaking on talkSPORT, O’Hara suggested he doesn’t want to see his former side pick up a result against City, much to the disbelief of fellow pundit Jason Cundy.

“I’ve been saying it and saying it until I’m blue in the face, I’ve got loads of Arsenal friends, I have to deal with Arsenal fans all the time,” O’Hara said.

“It’s alright for Ange, he’s from Australia, he’s the manager, he wants to wing. Only thinks about himself…”

Cundy interjected: “You’re an absolute disgrace!”

“He doesn’t understand what it means for men and women out there who have got to go and deal with Arsenal fans when they win the league and we hand them the title,” O’Hara went on. “He hasn’t got to deal with that, we have!”

Cundy then labelled O’Hara a ‘disgrace’ once again but the former Spurs midfielder stuck to his guns.

“We’re not going to win the Champions League so listen, by the way, we haven’t got a great chance of beating Man City tomorrow anyway because they’re better than us,” he said.

“That conversation can take place later, you have to want to win tomorrow night,” Cundy added. “If you do not as a Spurs fan, you’ve got to forget Arsenal. Take the bitterness away, if they win it, they win.”

“I’m sorry. I’d quite happily take Europa League football, we’ve got a good chance to win it,” O’Hara said. “Man City win the title. Arsenal finish with the same amount of trophies as Spurs. I’m happy with that.”

Cundy then added: “Well, that is just the small-minded mentality of a Spurs fan.”

Tottenham fans may agree with O’Hara

While it’s a bizarre situation for Tottenham to be in tonight, O’Hara seems to be speaking for a large section of the Spurs fanbase.

A victory would boost Spurs’ chances of landing in the top-four but it would also likely lead to Arsenal lifting their first title in 20 years.

Gary Neville has labelled any suggestion that Tottenham might roll over for City as ‘nonsense’.

Regardless of the opinion amongst Tottenham fans on tonight’s game, it would be a surprise to see Postecoglou’s side pick up a result.

They have managed just one win in their last five league games and City have hit their stride in recent weeks.
