"They are playing": Unai Emery has a one word description of Crystal Palace under Oliver Glasner

Oliver Glasner has transformed Crystal Palace since his arrival a few months ago and now his team have been evaluated by Unai Emery.

It’s been six games unbeaten this campaign for Crystal Palace and in this run, the Eagles have been arguably the standout team in the league.

Beating the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool with the former being by the way of a thrashing just showcases how excellent a job Oliver Glasner has done.

With just one game remaining this season, Palace have the chance to finish as high as 10th in the league which would be a phenomenal finish.

With such impressive form, Palace have caught the eye and this Sunday’s opponents are aware of the tough challenge that will await them.

Unai Emery shares view on Crystal Palace

Speaking after his Villa side drew 3-3 with Liverpool on Monday night, Unai Emery has turned his attention towards Palace already.

Speaking to the media, he explained his objective is to defeat Palace this Sunday, but offered a one-word description of how he rates the Eagles.

“We have our objective, and that is to win in Crystal Palace.

“They are playing now fantastic.

“I am going to watch tomorrow, Crystal Palace and it is my only objective to think about our match on Sunday.”

A win vs Aston Villa could equal club’s Premier League record

The excellent form Palace have picked up has made it so no game is unwinnable, with Glasner’s men going toe to toe with the very best at Selhurst Park and also away from home.

Winning on Sunday against Emery could even equal a 20-year record of equalling the club’s highest league finish in the Premier League and the highest in any top division since 1991.

Finishing 10th however, would equal the best finish in the Premier League era of 10th which was achieved in the 2014/15 season, equalling history.

This would be an incredible success given the fact Palace were firmly locked in a battle for relegation survival until Glasner arrived.
