The situation in Vovchansk is critical. The city is almost destroyed due to constant Russian shelling, according to Tamaz Gambarashvili, head of the Vovchansk City Military Administration.

"The situation today is as difficult and critical as yesterday and the day before. Russia is constantly shelling the city. The city is almost destroyed. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are defending our city, it is completely under control, but small groups are trying to enter the outskirts of the city. That is why there is a small arms battle," he says.

The head of the Vovchansk City Military Administration notes that the fighting on the outskirts of Vovchansk is constant, and the city is also under constant Russian shelling.

"That is why the situation is extremely difficult. As for the city residents, we are evacuating the population. Most people have left on their own in their cars. Now we are dealing with the population that is unable to leave on their own," Gambarashvili says.
