Report: Everton really want to sign seven-goal winger who has been likened to Marco Reus

Everton really want to sign a winger this summer who has been likened to Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus, according to a recent report.

The Toffees, despite an eight-point deduction, ended up sealing their Premier League status with ease, in truth.

Sean Dyche has done a marvellous job at Goodison Park under limited finances, though, he’ll be desperate to make additions in the fast-approaching summer transfer window.

That said, Everton have just been linked to a winger who has scored seven goals for a Premier League side this season.

Everton want to sign Jacob Bruun Larsen

Jacob Bruun Larsen has been in fine form of late for a struggling Burnley side, netting four goals in his last nine Premier League appearances.

The 25-year-old, who is on loan from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim, is attracting interest from Everton, according to Bold.dk.

West Ham United are also said to be taking an interest in the former Borussia Dortmund man, who has been likened to Reus.

The outlet further notes that no formal offers have arrived as of yet but interest is expected to mount, with Burnley keen to bring him back for their Championship campaign next term.

Jacob Bruun Larsen statistics

Bruun Larsen’s statistics make for very impressive reading and it’s no surprise he’s being linked with Premier League suitors.

As per FBref, the wide player ranks in the top one per cent for progressive carries compared to his positional peers across the big five leagues.

Further, he sits in the top one per cent for non-penalty goals and progressive passes received, evincing his excellent finishing ability and movement.

All things considered, he’d be an astute signing for The Toffees.
