'£80 million': Ben Foster says two Manchester United targets will definitely be sold this summer

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster thinks two players linked with Manchester United will definitely be sold this summer.

United’s season has petered over the last couple of months and they look on course to finish in eighth on a club record-low points total in the Premier League era.

As such, Erik ten Hag has come under huge scrutiny with Thomas Frank the latest man linked to take over at Old Trafford.

Anyhow, whoever is at the helm over the summer they’ll need to be backed in the transfer market and two of their targets will be sold this summer, according to Foster.

Ben Foster says Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise will be sold this summer

Foster, speaking on his Cycling GK YouTube channel, admitted that he’s convinced Crystal Palace duo Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise will be sold this summer.

“I think they are both getting sold this summer, lads. I don’t know how to. There’s going to be a lot of teams looking after him, but you are not getting each one of them for any less than £80 million.”

Both have been linked with moves to Manchester United, with Olise in particular of serious interest to club chiefs.

According to the Express, United have shortlisted the left-footed winger, who has a release clause in his Palace contract.

Manchester United should focus on Michael Olise

United should focus their attention on the signing of Olise rather than Eze as he will cost significantly less.

Eze isn’t understood to have a release clause, so Palace can demand whatever they wish for the playmaker, with a price tag in excess of £70m mooted.

Whereas Olise’s release clause, which is believed to be below £60m, allows United to allocate funds elsewhere.
