Shohei Ohtani hit his 12th home run of the season and finished a triple shy of the cycle with two RBIs, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 10-2 rout of the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday.
Ohtani scored the game's first run with a 446-foot blast to right-center field off Keaton Winn in a four-run fourth inning at Oracle Park.
The designated hitter ended the night 3-for-5 after having a single in the fifth and a run-scoring double in the seventh.
"Just really a result of being very aggressive on the first pitch, and I'm glad it happened," Ohtani said through an interpreter about his first homer in six games that put him tied for the National League lead with Marcell Ozuna of the Atlanta Braves.
The Dodgers finished with 13 hits, boosted by Teoscar Hernandez, who drove in three runs with a double and a triple.
Asked to comment on the Dodgers' offense, Ohtani said, "We're not just hitting long balls but also a lot of sacrifice flies and doing the little things right."
Gavin Stone (4-1) held the Giants to one run in six innings. Winn (3-6) gave up five runs in four-plus innings.
