Mikey Moore now reacts after making his debut for Tottenham vs Man City last night

Mikey Moore has reacted on social media after making his Tottenham Hotspur debut against Manchester City last night.

It was a bittersweet evening for Tottenham supporters as a 2-0 home defeat ended any chances of a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The result also puts Manchester City firmly in the driving seat for the title, at the expense of Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal.

Ange Postecoglou was left frustrated by the events surrounding the game and appeared to hit out at supporters last night.

The Aussie boss claimed the past 48 hours have ‘revealed a fair bit’ to him and despite the conundrum for Tottenham supporters heading into last night’s game, the team performed well.

Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski both had chances to level things up for Spurs before Erling Haaland grabbed his second of the game from the penalty spot.

There was also a brilliant moment for Spurs youngster Mikey Moore, who replaced James Maddison in stoppage time and made his debut for the club.

Moore reacts after making Tottenham debut

Moore had been named among Tottenham’s substitutes for the past three games ahead of last night’s clash against City.

Many Spurs supporters were hoping to see the youngster get some minutes under his belt before the season ends.

Postecoglou rewarded the talented winger with eight minutes against the reigning champions last night.

After making his debut for the club at just 16 years of age, Moore took to social media to express his pride at the achievement.

He wrote: “Proudest moment of my life. Thank you to everyone who’s helped me along the way.”

Moore’s incredible stats

An opportunity in the first-team has been coming for Moore after an impressive season with the Under-18s.

The Englishman has netted 16 times and provided nine assists in just 14 appearances. He’s also excelled for England’s Under-17s side, scoring six goals in eight games since his first appearances back in September last year.

While it feels obvious that Tottenham will target attacking reinforcements this summer, it would be brilliant to see Moore integrated into the first-team squad.

The forward evidently has a bright future ahead of him and the club has struggled with the development of their academy products in recent years.
