Ineos reportedly face another managerial issue as Sir Jim Ratcliffe weighs up Erik ten Hag’s Man Utd future

Ineos are weighing up the future of Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag but may have another managerial situation to deal with this summer.

The end of the Premier League season is now in sight and United appear to be on the brink of an enormous summer.

The IneosIneos reportedly face another managerial issue as Sir Jim Ratcliffe weighs up Erik ten Hag’s Man Utd future era is getting underway with Sir Jim Ratcliffe already making a handful of off-field moves to try and take United back to the top.

New signings are not only needed but expected with United in danger of missing out on European football entirely for next season.

United have regressed massively from last season’s third-place finish and that leaves boss Erik ten Hag under pressure.

Ten Hag hasn’t been able to sort out United’s poor performances all season long and with Ineos making changes at other levels, it’s reasonable to suggest that they could make a change in the dugout too.

Just on this week alone, we have seen Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna linked with the United job.

Ineos may well be looking at other options and Ten Hag finds himself in major trouble as we approach two years of his reign at Old Trafford.

Ineos face another managerial issue

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co need to make a decision on Ten Hag’s future in the coming weeks, but they are also being faced with another managerial quandary.

Ineos and Ratcliffe own Ligue 1 side OGC Nice and they currently sit fifth in the table, nearing Europa League qualification.

Nice could be thrown into chaos though as boss Francesco Farioli looks set to leave the club.

Farioli has actually been linked with becoming the new United boss this summer but he looks to be heading elsewhere.

De Telegraaf reporter Mike Verweij claims that Ajax have now reached an agreement with Farioli over a summer move to Amsterdam.

Ajax are now in talks with Nice and Ineos in an attempt to agree a deal to get Farioli out of the French side.

Ajax have been studying Farioli’s training methods and believe that he is the right man for the job after a dismal season for the Dutch giants.

Ineos don’t want to lose Farioli but may need to go and find another manager for Nice alongside weighing up Ten Hag’s future at United.

That presents Ratcliffe with a potentially busy summer and hardly the ideal situation to be in as the season comes to a close.

Ten Hag exit route disappearing

Farioli was a fascinating choice by Ineos last summer.

The Italian had managed in Turkey with Fatih Karagumruk and Alanyaspor before heading to Nice.

Formerly on Roberto De Zerbi’s coaching staff at Benevento and Sassuolo, 35-year-old Farioli has now carved his own path and enjoyed a strong season in charge of Nice.

Farioli’s potential move to Ajax would also shut off a potential next move for Ten Hag.

Recent reports have suggested that Ten Hag may decide to resign from the United job and head back to former club Ajax.

A resignation would have been a huge surprise but with Ajax looking to bounce back from a horrendous campaign, a return for Ten Hag could have made some sense.

An Ineos manager taking the role instead is a strange twist of fate for Ten Hag, whose future has been even more complex as Ajax seemingly go in another direction.
