Princess Charlene joined Prince Albert in France for an important award as the royal couple posed for a family photo.

President Emmanuel Macron awarded the Prince of Monaco the insignia of Commander of Agricultural Merit in a special ceremony.

The Monegasque royals took to social media to share pictures from the special day, which Princess Charlene and her twin children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella attended.

They captioned the post saying: "Tuesday, May 14, at the Élysée Palace, HSH Prince Albert II was awarded the insignia of Commander of Agricultural Merit by the President of the French Republic, Mr Emmanuel Macron.

"This award ceremony took place in the presence of HSH Princess Charlene, HRH the Princess of Hanover, Hereditary Prince Jacques, Princess Gabriella, and several Monegasque and French personalities."

Princess Charlene wore a pink checkered jacket and matching trousers for the occasion.
