Noni Madueke posts one-word message on Instagram after Chelsea's 2-1 win vs Brighton

Noni Madueke was pleased with Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

It was an important three points for Chelsea, taking them into sixth place in the Premier League table.

If they draw with Bournemouth on the final day of the season and Manchester United fail to beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final, that will be enough to secure them Europa League football next term.

Given were Chelsea were earlier in the campaign, Mauricio Pochettino will probably take that.

According to Cole Palmer, the Argentine is loved by all the players, which is good news for him ahead of the club’s end-of-season review.

Noni Madueke reacts to Chelsea’s win against Brighton

Madueke started in Chelsea’s victory over Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

The winger was unable to score a goal or provide an assist as he has done in some of the Blues’ recent fixtures.

Nevertheless, he, understandably, was still pleased with the win.

After the game, he took to Instagram to share a post with the caption “dub”, which simply means win.

Madueke has played a big role in Chelsea’s upturn in form. For example, in their last home win, the 5-0 hammering of West Ham United, the 22-year-old scored one goal and set up another.

Noni Madueke overtakes Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling’s best position is probably out on the left, where he can cut in from with his right foot.

However, the England international has also played on the right this season, so Pochettino easily could have given him the nod to start against Brighton.

Sterling may have felt he deserved to be included in the first XI after the impact he made versus Nottingham Forest the match before, but his manager still decided to go with an attack of Mykhailo Mudryk, Cole Palmer and Madueke.

It is quite clear that, as of now, Madueke and Mudryk are both ahead of the former Manchester City man in the pecking order.
