Norwich City send a message to Adam Idah and Celtic after title success

As the morning after the night before sinks in for the Celtic fans, the realisation of becoming champions for some players will just be sinking in.

For many Celtic players like Callum McGregor, James Forrest and Greg Taylor, the feeling of being a champion is not new.

Last night’s title win will feel just as sweet as the others the trio have had during their Celtic career, but for some, like Adam Idah, this will be their first major honour in their career.

And no sooner had the Hoops striker been crowned a champion with Celtic his parent club, Norwich City, sent the Republic of Ireland international and Celtic a superb message on social media.

Adam Idah’s importance to Celtic

A January loan signing, Adam Idah has been a superb addition to the Celtic team. Making 28 appearances in just four months, the 23-year-old striker has come up with some important goals for Celtic in this title race.

Who can forget his incredible penalty double against Hibs on his debut? At a time when Celtic couldn’t seem to buy a goal from a penalty, Idah stepped up when it looked like two points were being dropped and netted two high-pressure spot kicks.

With eight goals to his name, the on-loan Norwich City striker has done his case for a permanent Celtic move no harm at all.

A favourite amongst the fans, Idah is set to return to the English Championship side after the Scottish Cup final.

With Norwich reportedly looking for £5m from Celtic to secure a permanent move, I don’t think many would disagree with Brendan Rodgers opening up the chequebook to bring him to the club this summer as backup to Kyogo Furuhashi.
